For those who want to start to feel their hands shaking while playing video games, put down the jug of coffee and get your hands on one of these. As of April 24th, Sony Australia will be releasing a Wireless Dual Shock 3 controller for your trembling pleasure.
What’s interesting about this is the SRP of AU$99.95. While there will be a core of hardcore punters, as well as well-meaning but unenlightened older parents/relatives, paying full price for one of these things, some quick browsing on the Internet will almost always find you a better price. For example, Headwires’ choice of overseas games emporium Play Asia, have already had this available for sale for a while now. Once more, it is listed for sale at AU$64.70. Even with postage factored in, it will come in at well less than the ticketed price you’ll be seeing at Hardly Normal.
I’m sure there are other places you all know about that you could recommend, but if not, do yourself and check out the prices here.
p.s. Don’t get me wrong. I would love to recommend purchase from a local retailer. However someone is screwing someone else over, and it’s ending up listed at too much of a markup over here. If anyone sees it for sale for less than AU$80, feel free to post below and I’ll update this.
One Comment for New PS3 controller: New here, cheaper elsewhere…
